What a great start to the budding Swing dancing scene in KL – possibly the first ever in Malaysia. Thanks to Ling and Ming, who started the bug biting at the end of September, with a taster East Coast Swing workshop, dancers in KL can now groove to the new dance on the block – the Lindy Hop!
So I spent 12hrs travelling to teach a 2hr workshop last night, but it was a historical landmark for Swing dancing in Asia, and definitely worth it, as the dancers, hungry for the jazz dance, kept on dancing, taking it all in, and asking “when’s the next class?”. I guess it will be sooner than expected!
