SHINY STOCKINGS (DA:NS FESTIVAL 09)

We presented this and a few others as a Frankie Manning Tribute for Esplanade’s da:ns Festival.

FRANKIE’S TRANKY DOO (NZX ‘09)

Not enough people know Frankie’s original Tranky Doo, so here it is.

BILL’S BOUNCE (FLIPSIDE ‘08)

This performance was done at Esplanade’s Flipside Festival, where we collaborated with Hip Hoppers from Dance Circle.

CLAP YOUR HANDS

SEA JAM is the annual Lindy Hop Camp in Singapore where guest international instructors from around the world are invited here to teach. It also attracts dancers from around the world.  This is a routine I created for SEA JAM 07 for the performance evening

CLAP YOUR HANDS (SOLO EDITION)

This was performed in Dublin (2008) when I taught at their yearly Lindy Hop weekend workshops.

SHIM SHAM

The Shim Sham was a tap dance routine that turned into a Jazz rountine with free style partner dancing after.  This was performed by the teachers of the New Zealand Lindy Exchange 07

IMPROV LINDY (NEW ZEALAND LINDY EXCHANGE 06)

Shane and I were basically playing around taking turns to lead and follow, and just… having fun!

ROCKIN’ IN RHYTHM (BIEL SWING BALL 08)

A simple jazz routine to Duke Ellington’s tune performed at the ball after teaching the whole weekend with Maria Trodella, followed by improv partner dancing!

JEEP JOCKEY JUMP (SEA JAM 04)

This was one of my first choreographies for ensemble work for SEA JAM many years back with some of the best Lindy Hoppers in Singapore under SwingXpress.

Wow! Simply amazing, esp like the Shim Sham, reminiscences those ol 40s-50s movies!

Not exactly Fred & Ginger but heck of a lot more fun!! Great job in reviving something I truly love!
